DeafHope Board and staff send our condolences to the family of Marjoriebell “Mabs” Stakley Holcomb. In 2007, Mabs received DeafHope’s Trailblazer Award because of her unprecedented work as a Deaf woman role model which includes co-hosting the first Deaf women of the Bay Area conference. She also inspired many women to pursue their career endeavors at a time when it wasn’t encouraged by society. She was a true Trailblazer.
